Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise, has invited applications for 335 Trade, Technician and Graduate Apprentice opportunities under its Marketing Division, Western Region.
The recruitment has been notified under Advertisement No. IOCL/MKTG/WR/APPR/2026-27, dated 5 October 2026. Eligible candidates can apply through the prescribed NATS/NAPS apprenticeship portals from 5 October 2026 at 10:00 AM until 4 November 2026 at 5:00 PM.

Disciplines Covered
Technician Apprentices – 99 Posts
Diploma holders can apply in disciplines including:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
Candidates generally require a three-year regular full-time Diploma in the relevant discipline, with the prescribed minimum marks.
Trade Apprentices – 40 Posts
ITI opportunities include:
- Fitter
- Electrician
- Electronics Mechanic
- Instrument Mechanic
- Machinist
Candidates are required to have Matriculation plus a regular full-time two-year ITI course in the relevant trade, recognised by NCVT/SCVT.
Graduate Apprentices – 174 Posts
Graduate opportunities are available for candidates with regular full-time degrees such as:
- B.A.
- B.Com.
- B.Sc.
- BBA
The prescribed minimum is generally 50% aggregate marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved positions, subject to the detailed notification.
Data Entry Operator – 22 Posts
IOCL has provided opportunities for:
- Data Entry Operator – Fresher
- Data Entry Operator – Skill Certificate Holders
The fresher category requires Class 12 qualification, while the skill-certificate category additionally requires the prescribed Domestic Data Entry Operator skill certificate.
Age Limit
Candidates must generally be between 18 and 24 years of age as on 30 September 2026.
Age relaxation is available according to applicable government rules, including:
- SC/ST: up to 5 years
- OBC-NCL: up to 3 years
- PwBD: applicable additional relaxation as specified in the notification.
Important Qualification Cut-off
The notification contains specific qualification-date requirements.
For Graduate and Technician Apprentices, the prescribed qualification must have been acquired between 1 April 2023 and 30 September 2026.
For Trade Apprentices, including ITI/Data Entry Operator, the prescribed qualification must have been acquired between 1 April 2022 and 30 September 2026.
Training Duration & Stipend
The apprenticeship training period is 12 months.
The stipend will be paid according to the rates prescribed under the Apprentices Act and applicable Apprentices Rules, as amended from time to time.
Selection Process
One of the important features of this recruitment is that there is no written examination or interview.
Selection will be based on merit, with candidates ranked according to marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination.
Shortlisted candidates will subsequently undergo:
- Document Verification
- Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Test
- Final offer of apprenticeship engagement
Important: Only One Discipline Code
Candidates must carefully select their preferred discipline.
IOCL has specifically stated that candidates can apply for only ONE discipline code. Applications for more than one discipline code will be rejected.
